Keeping busy in Group 3!

It has been another very busy week for Group 3 so here is a quick rundown of what we have been up to:

The main event was obviously Sports Day but even before that we had our jumping events in school. Both the high jump and standing long jump were extremely exciting and quite close in the end for all of our teams. Some great sportsmanship was demonstrated with lots of encouragement and words of support when classmates needed it and although some children did not manage a ‘personal best’ they still took part with a smile.

Next we had a ‘Shuffle Up’ morning where everyone went into their new classes for September. Mrs Wilkes worked with the new Group 3 and they created some personal jigsaw pieces and wrote some interesting stories.

Friday saw a dry and warm day for our Sports Day and what a great afternoon it was! All of Group 3 took part with enthusiasm and even when they were beaten by their parents in the rounders match there weren’t too many moans or complaints. Well done Group 3!

More play rehearsals and singing practice this week as our performance dates for ‘Treasure Island’ loom ever closer. There are definite improvements from everyone and lots of hard work from the children. We can’t wait!
